I honestly didn't know any Daimler-Benz powered 109s were flying - how cool!

I always thought the 'E' models looked the best.  The Museum near me is getting a 'G' model as well as one of the Spanish Hispano-suizas.  Both will be flyable! :D

How many Bf-109Es are there in flying conditions nowadays? I think I've seen another one which wingtips are painted yellow... or is it this very aircraft, which look I find more realistic?

I think you mean one like this: [link]

The are many decals and paintings and they look all different. Some have used alot of yellow while others have used green or white for example. If you have a look at Erich Hartmann's (the most effective ("best") pilot) BF-109s then you will see ones with yellow.

I dont care what any Spitfire fan says,to me this was the best plane in the war.Flown by so many decorated Aces, most of which after the war worked as high-ranking officers in the new Bunderswehr Luftwaffe.

damn, I didn't know any Me109s were still operational - is this a rebuilt, or a new-manufacture replica?

this is an original, Battle of France and Battle of Britain Veteran. Claimed two kills over France and one before it was shot down during a raid on shipping near Dover. It was rediscovered after a storm off the coast of France and restored to how you see it now.
