Space Ark by shelbs2 Space Ark by shelbs2
Was watching the 1951 Science Fiction movie "When Worlds Collide" the other day. I liked the design of the "space ark" in the movie and wanted to try and design it.

One of the Best I've seen! Has anyone heard anything about Steven Spielberg's re-make of the classic movie?

Before I even read the description, I was like, "this reminds me a lot of When Worlds Collide". This is a fantastic piece!

One of my favorite movies and ships. I have been fumbling around with some images using the same ship (but with a much worse model).

Well...as a nube...I have to ask if it's in a format I can use with Daz. If the answer is yes, then I would be greatly indebted!

During a Decade, the winged rockets became a real possibility. Before being under fire from V-1's and V-2's, British scientists feared that Germany were developing some very big winged rocket to retaliate London fron France without risking aircrews, and this opinion was based in photographic evidence of concrete launching ramps and rocket bodies, a reasonable proposition.

Space craft to be lunched on Gauss rail was an idea from 1951, shame on you NASA.

well, dont really think it was a gauss rail in the movie. i think it was just supposed to be a normal launch rail like what the V-1 used

Launch rails reminds me a bit of this game: [link]
I know it's very different, it's because the mission I wanted to show is not available as video :(
Anyway, if you don't know this game, I recommend you to take a look :P
Reminds the Ace Combat a bit, but it's great :D

Nice looking, VERY clean design. Unfortunately, wouldn't get far past mach 1, because the fuselage isn't area ruled... =P

The launch rails remind me of Ace Combat 5, too.

It's a pity that they didn't consult a certain someone named Ullam..."It's...as big as a city? And it's buildable in contemporary shipyards? And it uses what for propulsion?!"

Looks awesome.
